Affiliate marketing is becoming more and more popular nowadays, and more and more people use it to make money.
By definition: "it is a marketing arrangement by which an online retailer pays commission to an external website for traffic or sales generated from its referrals."
So in simple words, you become a sales man. You like a product you personally used, you promote it with your unique affiliate link and people who are interested in the product and who are making a purchase through your affiliate link will make you gain x% commission.
But do you know the difference between low ticket affiliate marketing and high ticket affiliate marketing?
Those are two different ways to actually make money online. The first one being the most popular as you can see on daily basis. It is mostly used by YouTubers, for instance, putting it into the description of their videos and making reviews of expensive items.
They will always ask you to click on the link below in the description to learn more about the product or click on the link below if you want to purchase the product. This has become one of their way to make money online.

So this is something becoming very popular especially with a company called Amazon but most companies nowadays offer an affiliate program. Pay attention next time you visit a website. Have a look at the at their affiliate programs and If you would like to become an affiliate for them the process is pretty easy.
But the only challenge here is that you will need to bring a lot of traffic to this link which can be quite difficult if you have no knowledge of internet marketing.

In other words, you'll need to have a lot of people following you or watching your videos or reading your blog posts depending on which platform you decide to use. And if you do not have many people following you, you will have to start using advertising.
So, if you don't feel comfortable using advertising or if you don't feel comfortable talking in front of a camera I would not recommend you to do this. This is time consuming and requires to have a good knowledge of marketing strategy in order to be able to promote this kind of products and actually make a living out of it.
BUT if you just want to have an idea of how this works and start making small pocket money as a side hustle, this is definitely a good way to put your foot in the door and figure out how this online marketing actually works.
However, it exists another way to make money online and this is called High ticket affiliate marketing.
High ticket affiliation is not something many people talk about, but this is becoming more popular day after day.
And what they mean by a high ticket affiliation is that every time someone will purchase a product (which is mostly digital nowadays) with your unique affiliate link, then you will receive a high commission going from couple hundreds to couple thousand dollars per sale!
This is more interesting, right?
And the best thing about it is that you will get a better ROI or return on investment out of a few sales compared to low ticket affiliation where you'll need to make a higher number of sales to be able to make your ROI.
It is really up to you to find the marketing strategy that suits you best.
