Top 5 Tips To Turn Your Vision Into Reality As a Photographer

5 tips to turn your vision into reality as a photographer

How do you bring a vision into reality⁉️🤔 I believe this is the most challenging thing to do as a photographer. And this is why photography is considered an art too. It is subjective and every photographer has a different approach and way to share their voice.
⠀⠀
This is something I enjoy doing the most in life and photography.
⠀⠀
There is nothing more satisfying than being able to bring to life something you imagined with your mind!
⠀⠀
Since a couple of years I have come up with my secret recipe to facilitate this process, that works for me every time I apply it.

1. Imagine what you want

You need to set your intention on what you want to achieve. Do you want to tell a story? Do you want to highlight an angle of a building? Do you want to take a specific portrait of someone?

2. Learn the tools you will need to build your vision

Knowing what gear to use will make your work easier and stop the guess work. A camera and a lens are just tools to help you create your vision. Know what to use and how to use it inside out so that the process becomes seamless.

3. Break down in simple steps what you need to do to build your vision

I like to use my 3 steps approach to photography which makes photography a more pleasant experience rather than a job. You can click here or on the image below to get access to a free web-class where I talk more in depth about my approach if you are interested to learn more.

4. Work at it every single day

Practice makes perfect. It is one thing to imagine and plan what you want to achieve. But the most important is to take actions. This is when you will learn the most. You will make mistake, you will encounter problems and you will find ways to overcome them. This is the best way to become better at your craft.

5. Make your vision a reality over time step by step.

Enjoy every single moment of the process of creation. Keep a log of your approach and see if this could become your new workflow in the future. And don’t worry if it changes over time. There is always room for improvement. This is what makes photography a form of Art in my opinion.
