Business Review: April 2018

It is already 1st April 2018! Time flies so fast. For the first 3 months of this year, I have been focusing on how I could improve my online business and help aspiring entrepreneurs follow my footpath and learn from my mistakes so that they could fast-track their success.
That is the reason why I created the Millennial Roamer Academy which is a library of content related to everything I have learned and used to become an online entrepreneur. My goal for 2018 is to fill that library with all my knowledge of online entrepreneurship, social media marketing, photography, personal development, etc... and share it with people willing to take control of their lives. So here is a quick review of what has been done so far:
Become an Instapreneur
This is the first online course I created. This course gathers all the information and marketing techniques I have learned over 2 years of using Instagram as my main promotional channel. Whether you want to grow your audience and increase your brand awareness, learn how to work with brands and get paid, transform leads into sales and learn how to use Instagram features to better tailor your content for your business.
I break down everything in a 3-hour course divided into 9 modules. I personally wish I had access to this kind of information when I got started, that would have helped me a lot to understand how marketing works and not waste my money and energy into things that did not get me the results I needed for my business. How to create an online course
I underestimated the process of creating an online course. Creating the content was actually the easy part, but editing the content, the logistics of finding the right platform to host your content, create a sales funnel and market your course can actually be quite challenging. It took me a month to set up everything and I must say that I learned a lot. This is something I will add to the Millennial Roamer Academy library for all my members interested in creating online courses.
Redesigned website
I thought about it for a while and I believe now was the right time to do it. If you are used to visiting my website often, you may have noticed a new design. I wanted to move away from the traditional blog look and make the layout feel more like a magazine. I believe it looks better and cleaner now. It took me a week to redesign it but the process was very easy. I am using Squarespace as my website hosting platform and their user interface is very user-friendly. No coding knowledge needed.

Chatbot
In March, I attended a chatbot seminar with Manychat to learn more about how to leverage chatbot in your marketing strategy and help promote your brand. I really believe that bot is revolutionizing the marketing world and that we are heading towards a more automated world in the near future. My philosophy is to leverage technology to create ourselves a better future. And as a solo-entrepreneur, the more processes I can automate, the simpler my work is.
So I updated my chatbot to the version 2.0 with the knowledge I gained from this seminar and will be using chatbot more often to promote my content in 2018.

Millennial Roamer Academy Library
I started the Millennial Roamer Academy earlier this year on a blank canvas and after 3 months, I'd say that it is 30% full. There is still a lot of things that need to be added but members of the community can already start leveraging the content available to learn about how to start their online business from scratch and monetize it.
That was my first priority, help my community kick-start their entrepreneurship adventure on solid foundations with actionable steps on how to start, set up and promote their business online. Here is below the list of content available:

Our group is growing more and more and I am delighted to be able to support and inspire a community of aspiring online entrepreneurs. It's been said that by 2035, 1 billion people will be working remotely and that the digital nomad lifestyle some people cannot still believe exist will become a normal thing. Now more than never is the time to become an entrepreneur.
Technology has removed the main entrance barriers that there was 20 years ago. You can create a website within couple hours. You can advertise online for only couple dollars per day. You can reach billion of people from just a tap of a button.
The technology and the marketing is becoming more and more democratized, accessible to anyone and the possibilities are endless. Up to you to find the right method that will help you grow your business.
Overall a very solid and productive quarter. The second quarter will be more focused on networking and improving my marketing knowledge. I am really looking forward to the upcoming months. I will be attending a few masterminds between Dublin and London and network with other experienced online entrepreneurs. Your network is your net worth, so make sure to surround yourself with the right people.
