Welcome to Day 6!

Here we go! You have it all set! Now it is time to push the live button and start promoting your content.

But before pushing the button, here is quick checklist you need to go through:

  • Do you have a an email opt-in form for people to subscribe to your newsletter?

  • Do you have a social media presence? Where can people follow you? (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest)

  • Do you have an "About Me" page?

  • Do you have at least 3-5 articles on your blog?

  • Do you have a contact form?

Launching your website won't be enough. The World Wide Web is HUGE and there are many competitors in your niche.

You should put as much time on writing content than promoting your content if you want to be a successful blogger.

So how to promote your blog you may wonder?

There are hundreds of ways to do it but let me give you a few.

Use social media

I would advise you to leverage the social media platforms you feel the most comfortable with. Sure being on all of them can help you with visibility but also requires more work as you will need to be active on ALL of them!

I personally mostly leverage Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest! If you want to learn more about Pinterest, check out this article I wrote The Ultimate Beginner's Guide To Pinterest!

Every time you post a new blog post. Make the whole world know about it and cross post throughout all your social media platforms.

Nowadays, some applications would allow you to post once on one platform and the post will automatically be reposted to your other accounts.

Check online tools like IFTTT or Zapier.

If you would like to learn more about Social Media Marketing, make sure to join this social media bootcamp. This is a program that I have used and that my students have gone through to better understand the foundations of social media and how to leverage it as a small business owners to promote your products or services.

Use Ads

Facebook has a feature that allows you to boost your post to increase exposure. $2 to $5 invested in each blog can make a difference in the beginning. If you want more advanced advice on Facebook ads, do not hesitate to book your free strategy session with me.

I have worked at Facebook and was a brand consultant. I helped them with their targeting and set up their online campaigns that aligned with their goals.

Join a community

There are many groups on Facebook for bloggers. They would usually dedicate one day of the week for blog promotion. Join these groups and engage as much as possible with their content to gain exposure.

I personally joined The Creatives Platform program. You can read my complete review about it here or by clicking on the link below.

The CREATIVES PLATFORM Review : The Ultimate course on how to become a digital nomad for beginners

This online training helped me build my brand and monetise my blog within a couple months using the methods they teach. Their goal is to leverage as many automated tools as possible to run your business on automation while you are free to live the life you want. If that’s. the kind of lifestyle you are looking for, you can learn more about it here.

Use your friends, family and then your fans

When you just get started, share your posts with your friends and family and ask them to share it. It helps. Then once you start building a following, ask your fans to share your blog post.

If you don't ask, you don't get.

Collaborate with other influencers

A good way to gain visibility is via collaborations with other bloggers in your niche.

Create content together and share it with your respective audience to increase exposure. It is a great way to build a network of bloggers also that you can leverage anytime to ask for recommendations.

Use Contests

It will help you build traffic and social media followers. Have a series of contests planned with different goals. There is an online tool called Gleam that you can use that set competitions with different objectives and do all of it: grow email subscribers, Facebook and Instagram followers, Pinterest and Twitter followers.

There is NOT one solution that will help your blog grow. You will need to test, test, test and see what works for you.

I personally found that Instagram and Pinterest are the best way to promote your content nowadays.

Again, if you would like to learn more about Social Media Marketing, don’t hesitate to join the social media bootcamp to learn the foundations of running a business on social media.

And once you join you will have me as your mentor and you will also join a community of online entrepreneurs with who you will be able to collaborate and support each other.
