Day 5: Create Compelling Content And Build An Email List
Welcome To Day 5!
When I got started with blogging, my first mental road block was "I am not a writer, who would actually enjoy reading my post?"
But a blog is more about sharing your personal experience like you would do with your friends and family. It is up to you to decide if you want the format to be formal or more casual.
What matter the most is the content that needs to be relevant to your audience and that also needs to be easy to digest.
Our attention span nowadays is very limited to couple seconds, especially on mobile devices. So you need to think about the layout that will make people enjoy reading your blog post.
I learned there is an art to blogging and that you do not need to be an amazing writer. You just need to learn how to structure your post.
Think of the end goal first for each blog you want to write. What do you want your readers to take out from your post that could benefit them.
Here is a guide that I use to create my blog post.
Title
The title is key in blogging. Remember, that is meant to answer to a problem people in your niche are facing and are looking for a solution. Some example of great titles you can use are:
"10 ways to travel the world on a budget"
"How to pack your bag for a 1 month holiday"
"How to travel light for a weekend getaway"
"5 travel items I never travel without"
etc...
I usually use Canva or Adobe Spark post to create my graphics.
Intro
The intro is where you will share a short story of 3 to 5 lines . You need to paint the scene to your readers and let them know why sharing this story is important and how he could help them.
H1
Write your first paragraph showing the benefit or your experience.
image(s)
Emphasize the paragraph with an image or a series of image to support your point.
Rinse and repeat
H2

H3

Conclusion
This is the moment to give a short review of your experience highlighting all the key elements and why you would recommend anyone to do the same.
CTA
This is the Call To Action. You want your readers to do a specific action that could benefit you.
i.e. If you enjoyed this content, please share it with someone you believe would be interested.
And then at the bottom of the page make sure to add Social sharing buttons and related content.
This is mainly the blogging structure every blogger uses. Blogging is not that complicated if you follow these guidelines.
But the most important remains the content you will share. Think about your readers first.
Quality is better than quantity.
